It was easy because i didn't have to read the whole page to know it is about
We are learning to skim and scan, you have to find all the clues in the text

Reflection
I was learning about similes. I know that we describe using our senses and we compare two things
using like or as. It was tricky because you had to use lots of adjectives to describe the two things you compared.

Skimming and scanning

I learnt that skimming and scanning is finding clues from the text and pictures.  It helps you to find the main idea straight away.  Skimming and scanning is what you need to read non-fiction text.

Reflection

I was learning about reflection.  I know that reflection is putting shapes and patterns in front of a mirror, and putting it on the other side.  It is the same as flipping.

Solving 6 times tables with 5 times tables

Maths reflection
I was learning to solve 6 times tables with 5 time tables.  This means using your basic facts and finding the 5 times tables.  Then you add the group that's left over .  It was tricky because I didn't know which times tables to use.

I was learning to make a word plan. I know that a word plan has a topic and 3 or 4 ideas. I learnt that I can use a word plan to help me with my writing.

This is easy because I have done a word plan in year 2.

I was learning to make connections.This means describing the story and something similar that happened to me. It was easy because I felt the same as the characters.

I was learning to justify inferences.I know that an inferences is that the author is putting clues to lead us to what he is saying.

I am learning about beginning blends in words. I know that blends have 2 sounds. This is easy for me because I kept on trying.
