I am learning to read with fluency and expression

I am learning to write a recount

My 100 Days of School Party

On Tuesday Room 7 had a 100 days party. We had it at school because we had done 100 days of great learning.

First Room 7 got their treasure boxes and put them into groups of ten. My favourite was the Monopoly money because I like money! The counting took a long time because we had to take a lot of pauses!

Next we iced 100 cupcakes and decorated them with M and Ms and sprinkles. I tried to eat a little bit of the icing because I knew it would taste yummy.

Finally we went outside to do 100 exercises to get fit and strong. I liked the jumping sack because Liam jumped into me and we both fell down!

I loved doing the 100 exercises at the party because it made me fit and strong!

I am learning to show the EPS values on a school trip

Last term we went to the Auckland Museum to celebrate Matariki, the Maori New Year.

We participated in the Education programme at the Museum and even got a ta moko on our face!

I am learning to show respect by:
Using my manners
Listening to my teacher, my parent and Museum staff when they are speaking
Having a caring attitude to others in my group

I am learning to show resilience by:
Participating in new activities and learning experiences at the Museum
Making good choices
Asking for help if needed

I am learning to be responsible by:
Being prepared – wearing the correct school uniform and getting to school on time to catch the bus to the Muesum
Following instructions and rules from the staff at the Museum
Staying with my group and parent at the Museum
